First Appearance |
Lee Jin-Kai (often referred to as just "Kai") is one of the main protagonists in the web comic, Knite.[2][3][4]
Physical appearance[]
Kai has brown hair and cream colored skin. He's slightly taller than Sen. Most of the shirts he wears throughout the comic are green with the Chinese character for "open" (开)on it, and he's most often smiling.[2][3][4]
Relationships[]
Kai makes friends with Sen soon after meeting him, despite their shaky start.[2] His father is a politician, which allows them to skip over the "one child" policy.[2] His little sister is Min, an admirer of the Knite Fliers' work.[2] He genuinely cares for her, so much so that he tracked down the leader of the Knite Fliers to give donations to keep their work in the skies.[2]
Personality[]
Kai seems at first to be a lighthearted boy who sees the glass half full; in reality, he is somewhat of a cynical realist. He's the type of person that can easily get on Sen's nerves,[3] but despite that the two know it's just fun and games, though he seems to have a slightly sadistic and masochistic side to his personality, as pointed out by the author in chapter four.
